April 29, 2023 Bushy Lake Eco-Cultural Celebration March 17, 2023 In May 2020, the Wildlife Conservation Board approved a grant to Sacramento State University for the development of a conceptual restoration plan for Bushy Lake located across the levee from Cal Expo in the American River Parkway. The Sac State project team is hosting an Eco-Cultural Celebration Event (PDF) on April 29 at Bushy Lake to highlight their work and findings and to introduce people to the natural wonders and culturally significant plants of this special place.
