Development and Restoration Grants

For questions regarding a specific program’s requirements, please direct questions to the contact listed on the specific Program page.

General Restoration Grant Process and Application

This habitat restoration application is appropriate specifically for four of the WCB Programs:

Prospective applicants for all habitat restoration projects should discuss their projects with WCB staff prior to completing or submitting an application. WCB staff will assist in determining whether or not an application should be submitted and will help in developing project features.

Other Development and Restoration Grants

CDFW Involvement and Letters of Support

WCB relies on the expertise of CDFW staff in its evaluation of development and restoration grant proposals in two ways:

  • For formal solicitations (with a Proposal Solicitation Notice (PSN) and application deadlines), no CDFW letter of support should be submitted; CDFW is given the opportunity to participate in proposal evaluations.
  • For all other WCB continuous development and restoration programs, which are always open to receive proposals, a CDFW letter of support is required.
