General Grant Guidelines Released May 17, 2022 The Wildlife Conservation Board has prepared new General Grant Guidelines which are now available. The goal of the new Guidelines is to simplify and streamline the grant application process for applicants with a single pre-application and full application process. Project proponents wishing to apply for funding through WCB’s Lower American River Conservancy Program will use this new process. What’s great about this new process is that it’s open year-round, applicants may consult with WCB staff at any time, and each application will be considered by all WCB grant programs, opening the door to other funding sources and opportunities for Parkway projects. Proposals for implementation projects and land acquisitions that result in enduring benefits to the lower American River Parkway are encouraged. The primary focus is on projects that improve the quality of water that flows into and within the American River Parkway and projects that restore or enhance fish and wildlife habitat and other natural resources. Now is the time to discuss your project ideas with WCB staff and to ask questions about the Program, priorities, and process. The project consultation period will be open through March 31.
