Due to the circumstances regarding the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19), the Wildlife Conservation Board is postponing the release of the 2020 Proposal Solicitation Notice for the Lower American River Conservancy Program until further notice. The Consultation Announcement (PDF) has been updated. The consultation period will remain open until further notice – please contact WCB staff (contact information provided in the announcement).

The Wildlife Conservation Board has released the 2020 PSN for the Climate Adaptation and Resiliency Program. Please read the 2020 PSN carefully for details on the application process, eligibility, and other information. All applicants must complete the online Pre-Application by 5:00 PM Pacific Standard Time on April 7, 2020. View the Climate Adaptation and Resiliency Program for more details.

The Wildlife Conservation Board is preparing to release the 2020 PSN for the Lower American River Conservancy Program. The Wildlife Conservation Board’s Proposition 68 2019 Pacific Flyway Conservation Proposal Solicitation Notice (PSN) (PDF) is now available. Project applications submitted to this PSN should seek to protect, restore or enhance migratory bird habitat, improve migratory bird habitat diversity, quality and connectivity, or improve management and ecological function of migratory bird habitat.

All applicants must submit a Pre-application by 5:00 PM Pacific Standard Time on September 10, 2019. WCB will subsequently invite select applicants to submit full proposals. All questions regarding this PSN should be submitted to WCBFlyway@wildlife.ca.gov.

The Wildlife Conservation Board’s 2019 Proposal Solicitation Notice (PSN) for the Public Access Program is now available. 2019 priorities include boating access (motorized and non-motorized) and wildlife-oriented recreational opportunities such as hunting, fishing, and wildlife viewing.

All applicants must complete the Pre-Application by 5:00 p.m. Pacific Standard Time on July 26th, 2019. WCB will then invite select applicants to submit full proposals. For questions, contact the Public Access Program at WCBPublicAccess@wildlife.ca.gov.

The Wildlife Conservation Board’s 2019 Proposal Solicitation Notice (PSN) for its Forest Conservation Program is now available. Proposed projects may include planning, implementation, or acquisition projects within the Sierra Nevada and Cascade Mountains in California. PSN priorities include meadow restoration, post-fire habitat recovery, and aspen stand restoration as well as acquisitions that protect meadows, migration corridors, or habitat connectivity.

All applicants must complete the online Pre-Application by 5:00 PM Pacific Standard Time on June 28, 2019. WCB will then invite select applicants to submit full proposals. For questions regarding this PSN or the Program, please contact WCB’s Forest Conservation Program at Forests@wildlife.ca.gov.

The Wildlife Conservation Board's Lower American River Conservancy Program Proposal Solicitation is now available. Project priorities include land acquisitions and capital improvements that expand, restore, enhance, interpret or protect the Parkway's natural, cultural, historic, recreational, and educational resources. All questions should be submitted to LARCP@wildlife.ca.gov.

The Wildlife Conservation Board is preparing to release the 2019 Proposal Solicitation Notice (PSN) for the Lower American River Conservancy Program (LARCP). The first voluntary step for potential applicants is to take advantage of the WCB staff consultation period May 6 – 17, 2019. The Wildlife Conservation Board's Wildlife Corridor and Fish Passage Program grant proposal solicitation (PDF) under Proposition 68 is now available. Priorities include construction of wildlife overcrossings and undercrossings, restoration of natural habitats that provide a visual screen in wildlife corridors, and removal of instream impediments to fish passage. The first step in applying for funding is to submit a Pre-application, which is required to be considered for funding. The deadline for submitting a Pre-application is April 26, 2019, 5:00 p.m. Applicants must receive a recommendation to submit a Full Application. Full Applications need to be submitted by June 14, 2019, 5:00 p.m. Pre-applications and full applications are to be submitted to WCBCorridors@wildlife.ca.gov with 2019 Wildlife Corridor and Fish Passage Grant Proposal in the subject line.
