The Advisory Committee of the Lower American River Conservancy Program will meet November 30, 2023, 8:45 a.m. - 3:00 p.m., for our fourth tour of the lower American River Parkway (Parkway). We will meet at three locations between Hazel Avenue and Sunrise Boulevard to view current conditions of the Parkway and learn about potential and current community investment sites.

Members of the public are invited to participate. All participants are responsible for their own transportation, water, and lunch. Parking will be free at each location. Carpooling is encouraged. A couple sites include a short walk on a dirt trail. Please wear comfortable walking shoes and outdoor attire.

The Wildlife Conservation Board approved $116.6 million in grants to 37 projects at its quarterly meeting on November 15, 2023.

Come work for the Wildlife Conservation Board (WCB) and help secure California's conservation legacy! Over its 76-year history, WCB has invested over $3 billion to conserve and restore California's precious natural resources. WCB is seeking a Staff Services Manager II to continue this work as the Chief of Administration that leads the Administrative Services Unit overseeing budgets, accounting, contracts, personnel, and other traditional state administrative functions.
