As of January 26, 2023, the Wildlife Conservation Board will be using a revised version of its General Grant Guidelines which were originally posted in March 2022. It is available on WCB’s Grant Opportunities page. These revisions are generally minor, the most substantive of which are summarized below:

  • The indirect rate has been changed to a maximum rate of 15 percent on the entire WCB grant award amount, or for tribes or pass-through grants with an approved Federal Indirect Cost Rate
  • Updated to include General Fund allocations for FY 22-23
  • Removed Appendix for Supplemental Information for Stream Flow Enhancement Projects
  • Clarification on when Letters of Support are required from the California Department of Fish and Wildlife

Any projects to be considered at future Wildlife Conservation Board meetings must comply with these revised guidelines. For questions, please contact Shannon Lucas at Shannon.Lucas@wildlife.ca.gov.
