Job Vacancies

  • Senior Environmental Specialist
    WCB is looking for a Program Manager for the new Desert Conservancy, created in January 2022. The goals of the Program are to preserve and restore natural, cultural, and physical resources in the California desert region. The Desert Conservancy Program Manager will serve as the lead on WCB Desert Conservancy projects. Project management responsibilities include: project consultation with federal, state and local partners, development and review of funding and grant proposals, negotiation of terms and conditions for project agreements, contract and grant administration, planning, design review, and implementation oversight.
  • Senior Land Agent (Specialist)
    WCB is looking for a Senior Land Agent to work with a highly motivated team to secure properties Statewide for the protection of habitat and to provide appropriate public access. This includes working closely with a variety of stakeholders throughout the state and attending meetings and site visits with applicants, property owners, and private contractors in the field to discuss potential project opportunities. Projects are approved by presenting land acquisition proposals to the WCB for consideration at quarterly meetings. Open until filled.
  • Associate Governmental Program Analyst
    WCB is looking for an Associate Governmental Program Analyst to work in a collaborative team environment and join the Administrative Team as the Federal & State Grants Analyst. Under the general direction of a Staff Services Manager I, you will perform the duties of a Grants Analyst by working with internal and external stakeholders to develop, track and monitor Federal and State Grants that provide critical services to aid WCB’s effort to preserve, protect and restore wildlife habitat. Closes 8/9/22.
