Please join the Wildlife Conservation Board for the first Advisory Committee meeting of the year for the Lower American River Conservancy Program being held Monday, March 23, 2020, at 1416 9th Street in Sacramento. All are welcome to join. The meeting will be from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and in the Natural Resources Building, First Floor Auditorium.

Pursuant to the Governor’s Directives on COVID-19 Social Distancing Protocols
Teleconference Access is Allowed for Board Members and Members of the Public to Participate
 
 
Per Executive Order N-25-20, Paragraph 11, issued by Governor Gavin Newsom on March 12, 2020 and related to the State of Emergency declared as a result of the COVID-19 virus, board members and members of the public are temporarily allowed to attend the meeting via teleconference, and such teleconference locations need not be formally noticed and publicly-accessible as is normally required. Teleconference dial-in information will be provided in advance of the March 23 meeting.

The Wildlife Conservation Board is preparing to release the 2020 PSN for the Lower American River Conservancy Program (Program). Now is the time to discuss your project ideas with WCB staff and to ask questions about the Program, priorities, and process. Visit the Helpful Resources below for documents and examples that will help potential applicants navigate the Program and know what to expect for the 2020 PSN.

This year’s PSN will not include a pre-application. The consultation period is currently the best opportunity to ask questions and get feedback. We look forward to hearing from you!

All are welcome to join. The meeting will be from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and in the Sacramento County Board Chambers room.

Join staff of WCB and members of the Lower American River Conservancy Program Advisory Committee on Monday, September 9, 2019, for our first tour of the lower American River Parkway. The goals of this tour are to educate the committee members and WCB staff on the current conditions of the Parkway and show them potential and current community investment sites. Members of the public are invited to participate but are responsible for their own transportation.

Get ready to spring into action along the Parkway by submitting a full application for your high-quality project that advances the goals of the Parkway and this year’s PSN. Priorities include land acquisitions and capital improvements that expand, restore, enhance, interpret or protect the Parkway’s natural, cultural, historic, recreational, and educational resources.

Full applications are due by July 3, 2019. Please note all application forms for 2019 have been updated; forms from the 2018 PSN will not be accepted. Also, the full application submittal process has changed; please read all application forms and directions before sending in your final application materials.
