The Agenda for the Wildlife Conservation Board April 1, 2020 Stream Flow Enhancement Program meeting has been revised to remove the in-person participation location in Sacramento. Consistent with Governor Newsom's Executive Order N-29-20, the Board members and the public will participate in the meeting via Skype or teleconference.

In response to the evolving COVID-19 situation, the Wildlife Conservation Board is continuing its important work and wants to assure our partners that we will continue to assist you in implementing all the good work we are collectively doing for fish and wildlife. Each of us at WCB is committed to do everything we can to ensure the continuity of operations throughout this difficult time. With safety of our staff a main priority, we are following the guidance and recommended actions provided by the Governor’s office and the California Department of Public Health.

We have implemented internal processes to minimize disruptions to WCB’s workflow and all staff are teleworking so email will be the most expeditious way to make contact. We are regularly processing mail and moving to all electronic processing where possible. If you need help identifying the appropriate contact, please see the Contact page.

We plan to hold our next Board meeting on April 1 via Skype for our Stream Flow Enhancement Program where we will be recommending approval for over $24 million in projects. Staff are also already preparing for our May 20 Board meeting and are in contact with project sponsors and others to effectively get projects ready and successfully approved. Let us know how we can continue to support you through these challenging times. We are committed to keeping our work moving while also keeping everyone as safe as possible. As new information about WCB meetings becomes available, we will share through normal channels.

Per the current circumstances around the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19), the Lower American River Conservancy Program Advisory Committee meeting scheduled for Monday, March 23, will be postponed. Information will be posted here when a new date is scheduled. 

The Wildlife Conservation Board has released the 2020 PSN for the Climate Adaptation and Resiliency Program. Please read the 2020 PSN carefully for details on the application process, eligibility, and other information. All applicants must complete the online Pre-Application by 5:00 PM Pacific Standard Time on April 7, 2020. View the Climate Adaptation and Resiliency Program for more details.

The Advisory Committee of the Lower American River Conservancy Program will meet via teleconference March 23, 2020, 10:00 a.m.

Pursuant to the Governor’s Directives on COVID-19 Social Distancing Protocols
Teleconference Access is Allowed for Board Members and Members of the Public to Participate 
 
Per Executive Order N-25-20, Paragraph 11, issued by Governor Gavin Newsom on March 12, 2020 and related to the State of Emergency declared as a result of the COVID-19 virus, board members and members of the public are temporarily allowed to attend the meeting via teleconference, and such teleconference locations need not be formally noticed and publicly-accessible as is normally required. Teleconference dial-in information will be provided in advance of the March 23 meeting.  

The Wildlife Conservation Board is preparing to release the 2020 PSN for the Lower American River Conservancy Program. The Wildlife Conservation Board approved expenditures of approximately $32.2 million for 41 projects at its meeting on February 26, 2020.
