Grant Opportunities

WCB’s grant portal remains closed. However, we have funding available for projects in the American River Parkway.  If you have a project concept for the planning and design or construction of a capital improvement project, please email Cara Allen at cara.allen@wildlife.ca.gov. WCB will notify partners here and through our email subscriber lists when additional funds become available and/or the application portal reopens. We thank you for your understanding and patience during this time.

Minor Revisions to WCB General Grant Guidelines

As of August 1, 2024, the Wildlife Conservation Board will be using a revised version of its General Grant Guidelines which were previously posted in January 2023. It is available on WCB’s Grant Opportunities page. These revisions are generally minor, the most substantive of which are summarized below:

• Information about requesting advance funding
• Updates for Amendments for Development Project Grants
• Clarification of differences between Acquisition and Development projects regarding Reporting and Monitoring
• Updated information about Signage and Other Acknowledgements 

Future proposals submitted to the Wildlife Conservation Board must comply with these revised guidelines. For questions, please contact Shannon Lucas at Shannon.Lucas@wildlife.ca.gov.
