Join staff of WCB and members of the Lower American River Conservancy Program Advisory Committee on Wednesday, May 11, 2022, for our third tour of the lower American River Parkway. The goals of this tour are to educate the committee members and WCB staff on the current conditions of the Parkway and learn about potential and current community investment sites. Members of the public are invited to participate but are responsible for their own transportation.

Sacramento County Department of Regional Parks (Regional Parks) plans to release the Public Draft of the American River Parkway Natural Resources Management Plan (NRMP) on March 15, 2021 for a 60-day comment period. Four virtual open meetings will be held in March for the public to review and comment on the NRMP. Visit the County’s link opens in new windowNatural Resources Management page for more information.

In 2018, WCB’s Lower American River Conservancy Program provided funds to Regional Parks for the development and environmental review of the NRMP.
