WCB is looking for a Senior Environmental Scientist (Supervisory) to become part of the WCB management team and to supervise WCB staff that implement restoration and access programs including Stream Flow Enhancement, California Riparian Habitat Conservation, San Joaquin River Conservancy, Lower American River Conservancy, and Public Access. Looking back over 2020, we have witnessed unprecedented challenges surrounding all of us. Here at the Wildlife Conservation Board, we have stayed the course and continued to implement our mission with passion and dedication. Recognizing the flexibility and commitment of our staff, we have been able to maintain the conservation legacy that our constituents, conservation partners and the public expect from WCB. We also realize the challenges our partners have faced and appreciate all your work in continuing to implement conservation actions throughout the state. We are looking forward to continuing our work into 2021, and our Board is embracing new conservation opportunities that lie ahead.

The Advisory Committee of the Lower American River Conservancy Program (LARCP) will meet on December 11, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. for a tour of the middle reach of the American River Parkway to view current conditions of the Parkway and potential and current community investment sites.

Members of the public are invited to participate.

Consistent with Governor Newsom's Executive Order N-29-20, the public and Advisory Committee Members will participate via Microsoft Teams.

The Wildlife Conservation Board’s link opens in new window2020 Pacific Flyway Conservation Proposal Solicitation Notice (PDF) (PSN) is now available. Project applications submitted to this PSN should seek to protect, restore or enhance migratory bird habitat, improve migratory bird habitat diversity, quality and connectivity, or improve management, ecological function, and biodiversity of migratory bird habitat.

All applicants must submit a Pre-application by 5:00 p.m. Pacific Standard Time on December 16, 2020. WCB will subsequently invite select applicants to submit full proposals. All questions regarding this PSN should be submitted to WCBFlyway@wildlife.ca.gov.
