In response to the evolving COVID-19 situation, the Wildlife Conservation Board is continuing its important work and wants to assure our partners that we will continue to assist you in implementing all the good work we are collectively doing for fish and wildlife. Each of us at WCB is committed to do everything we can to ensure the continuity of operations throughout this difficult time. With safety of our staff a main priority, we are following the guidance and recommended actions provided by the Governor’s office and the California Department of Public Health.

We have implemented internal processes to minimize disruptions to WCB’s workflow and all staff are teleworking so email will be the most expeditious way to make contact. We are regularly processing mail and moving to all electronic processing where possible. If you need help identifying the appropriate contact, please see the Contact page.

We plan to hold our next Board meeting on April 1 via Skype for our Stream Flow Enhancement Program where we will be recommending approval for over $24 million in projects. See link opens in new windowFull Agenda (PDF) for more information. Staff are also already preparing for our May 20 Board meeting and are in contact with project sponsors and others to effectively get projects ready and successfully approved. Let us know how we can continue to support you through these challenging times. We are committed to keeping our work moving while also keeping everyone as safe as possible. As new information about WCB meetings becomes available, we will share through normal channels.

On behalf of the Board and staff, thank you for your patience, cooperation and understanding during these difficult times and we hope you remain safe and healthy.
