Reminder to get your comments in by close of business July 31. Thank you for your input.

The Wildlife Conservation Board is updating its 2014 Strategic Plan, and the link opens in new windowDraft Strategic Plan Update (PDF) is available for review. The 2014 Plan goals, objectives, and strategic approaches have served to guide WCB activities over the last five years. While an update to the Plan is required under current law, changing wildlife, fisheries and State conservation policies have prompted WCB to consider refreshing Plan objectives to better deliver new and existing programs in the context of these changes. The Plan Update will rely on the fundamentals of the existing Plan while defining more focused measurable objectives tailored to emerging conservation priorities and a strategic path forward.

Note this Draft Plan Update has yet to be edited and formatted. Public comments will be assessed and a final Draft Plan Update will be provided to the Board for consideration and approval in August. Please provide any comments to climateWCB@wildlife.ca.gov by close of business July 31.

Thank you for your input.
